Compostable Absorbent Pads are designed to absorb excess moisture, purge, blood, and liquid released from fresh food products while helping brands reduce the use of conventional plastic-based absorbent materials.
Developed for applications such as fresh meat, poultry, seafood, fruits, vegetables, and chilled foods, these pads help keep products cleaner, improve pack presentation, and reduce free liquid inside trays and flexible packaging.
Unlike conventional absorbent pads that may contain non-compostable plastic films or synthetic absorbent components, our compostable absorbent pad solutions can be engineered with cellulose-based absorbent cores and compostable or bio-based outer layers, depending on the required food application, absorption capacity, packaging format, and target market.
Custom sizes, structures, absorption levels, colors, and packing formats are available for food processors, packaging distributors, supermarkets, and private-label food brands.
